FWM Sponsor CIWM Cymru Charity Raffle

We recently sponsored the CIWM Cymru charity raffle at the Christmas dinner, which was held at the Jury's Inn, Cardiff on Friday 1st December.

We nominated our Charity of the Year, the Tenovus Closer to Home appeal, to receive the proceeds of the raffle and are delighted to announce that £763.00 was raised on the night!

What is the Closer to Home appeal?

Cancer patients living in some areas of Wales often have to travel up to 150 miles for their treatment. That's expensive and stressful, so instead of travelling long distances for their chemotherapy, Tenovus take it to them.

Tenovus' mobile support units go to different communities, every day, setting up in local car parks, supermarkets and community venues. Patients can park right outside for free and because it's not as busy as a hospital, there are fewer delays.

Tenovus currently run two units, but demand is growing and they urgently need to build a third. The Closer to Home appeal is aiming to raise £1m in order to build, equip and launch a new state of the art mobile support unit.

Welsh Automotive Forum Dinner

We also recently supported the Welsh Automotive Forum, by sponsoring their 20th annual dinner.

It was a great evening which, along with Wales' leading automotive businesses, was attended by Wales' First Minister, Carwyn Jones (pictured) and Ken Skates AM - Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Infrastructure.
